Evan's boat is still "on the hard," propped up on bony metal stilts and delaying the big trip by another few weeks. On the plus side, it is the first time I've seen the actual hull of the boat, and I am surprised by its beautiful desert colors.
The cause? A corroded rudder post, eaten away by stray electrical currents in Evan's marina. The entire rudder has had to come off and be replaced. Sigh.
